Formerly known as Hopewell Wildlife Estate, the recently rebranded Nyosi Wildlife Reserve presently offers a scope of family-accommodating experiences all set in the core of the tranquil 3000 hectare reserve, and only a short drive from Gqeberha's brilliant beaches and city centre.
Nyosi Wildlife Reserve offers peace of mind and a relaxing environment Surrounded by Nature, the reserve has 5 different biomes, each of which can host a different wildlife niche, giving more species diversity. Having said that the elephant and cheetahs are for most, the biggest draw. The reserve host 2 male cheetah and one female. Which just recently gave birth to 4 cups. Other animals includes Giraffe, Eland, wildebees, hartebees, impala, elephant and an array of smaller animals, birds and snakes.
What sets this reserve apart is the fact that it is almost complete surrounded by urban city. This makes it highly accessible to greater Nelson Mandela Metropole and cuts driving distance from the most of the city to Nyosi to about 20 minutes.
The reserve offers an array of activities, catering for most. These include game drives, picnic game drives, sundowners and private game drives. The onsite restaurant offers prebooked meals as well as Gin and Wine tasting experiences.
